Dear Dorland Family, It may seem ironic that the one place you could count on getting away from email and other electronic distractions, has now decided to add one more message to your already overstuffed mailbox. Believe me, we don't do it lightly. We just know that this is the single most effective, efficient, resource-conserving way to reach those like you, who care about Dorland Mountain Arts Colony and its future. And we promise that this is one message you will not want to delete! We will only contact you when we have something important to say, news or events you want to know about, and ways you can help us as we get back to the business of serving the creative community, including you (anyone who supports Dorland should consider themselves part of the creative process, whether they make art directly, or not). So put us on your must-read list, and dare I say it, stay "plugged-in" to Dorland! Thanks for devoting some of your precious time to bringing Dorland back, and we look forward to seeing you in person, too.... Curtis Horton President, Board of Directors

Current Updates
►One step closer to a building permit.
As you can see in the photos below, Dorland has a new 12,500 gallon water tank on site, along with four Riverside County Fire certified fire hydrants spaced within the colony's footprint. This fulfills one more important and necessary county requirement toward our goal of building the first two "Katrina" cottages in phase I. The permits are expected momentarily. A special THANK YOU to Larry & Joann Markham of Markham Development Management Group, their wonderful staff, and Russell Rumansoff of Herron Rumansoff Architects, Inc. for the time and energy spent in gathering the needed information.
